Session
A bounded unit of autonomous work. You describe a goal, Relay launches Claude Code on your paired workstation, and the agent works until the task is complete or you intervene. Sessions have a start time, end time, status, and full terminal transcript.
Workstation
Any machine running the Relay daemon. The daemon accepts session requests from the cloud, launches the agent, and streams output back. Your code never leaves your machine.
Device
A registered workstation in your account. Each device has a unique pairing token and appears in the device list in the desktop app.
Schedule
A cron expression + prompt that fires sessions automatically. Schedules can target any of your paired workstations and run on any cadence you define.
Transcript
The full terminal output of a session, streamed live and stored for replay. Transcripts let you audit what the agent did, or share the session with a teammate.
Daemon
The relay CLI process running in the background on your workstation. It keeps a persistent connection to the Relay cloud and executes incoming session requests.
